Why Serve?
Jesus' ministry, while here on earth, was about serving others. Matthew 20:28 tells us that "...the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve...". When we look at Jesus' life, there's no denying that He was a servant. Jesus' entire life was centered on serving God. Matthew 4:23 tell us that Jesus served God by teaching, healing, and proclaiming the Kingdom. Jesus' life is an example to us of how we should live ours, He has set the example for us to do as He has done for us and calls us blessed if we do them (John 13:12-17).
There are a variety of ways you can serve the Lord here at Calvary Chapel Richmond. Opportunities include Children's Ministry, Hospitality, Greeters, Parking Lot, Green Team, Maintenance Team, Worship, A/V, providing meals and transportation, at outreaches, Hilliard House and Prison Ministry.
If you are interested in serving, but don't know where to use the talents God has given you, please send us a message or speak to a Pastor or Elder.
Please fill out the Ministry Application and return it, in a sealed envelope, to the Calvary Connect Info Booth in the Fellowship Room. Copies are also available there.
